About the Project Manager Role (Lift Installations)



You'll take full responsibility for end-to-end lift project delivery-from planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and client handover. You'll manage complex works on multiple sites, including new installations, modernisations, and infrastructure projects.



Key Responsibilities - Project Manager (Lift Installations)

  • Manage lifecycle delivery of lift projects: budget, schedule, quality & safety
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and smooth handover to clients & service teams
  • Ensure compliance with CDM, HSE guidelines and RAMS documentation
  • Coordinate engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and client teams
  • Lead daily briefings, site inspections and quality assurance processes
  • Supervise plant, tools, lifting plans, temporary works and logistics
  • Track project progress, maintain documentation and report regularly to stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and main contractors
  • Manage defect resolution and project close-out


What We're Looking For - Project Manager (Lift Installations)

  • 5-7 years' experience in lift installation/modernisation projects
  • 3+ years managing delivery teams and multi-site projects
  • Recognised construction/project management qualifications
  • Certifications: SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, Lifting Competency
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects (e.g. rail, freight) is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication, planning, negotiation & HSE awareness
  • Able to handle pressure, prioritise tasks and lead site execution
  • Full UK driving licence essential
