About the Project Manager Role (Escalator Installations)
You'll take full responsibility for end-to-end escalator project delivery-from planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and client handover. You'll manage complex works on multiple sites, including new installations, modernisations, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Manager (Escalator Installations)
- Manage lifecycle delivery of escalator projects: budget, schedule, quality & safety
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and smooth handover to clients & service teams
- Ensure compliance with CDM, HSE guidelines and RAMS documentation
- Coordinate engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and client teams
- Lead daily briefings, site inspections and quality assurance processes
- Supervise plant, tools, lifting plans, temporary works and logistics
- Track project progress, maintain documentation and report regularly to stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and main contractors
- Manage defect resolution and project close-out
What We're Looking For- Project Manager- Escalator Installations
- 5-7 years' experience in escalator installation/modernisation projects
- 3+ years managing delivery teams and multi-site projects
- Recognised construction/project management qualifications
- Certifications: SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, Lifting Competency
- Experience in major infrastructure projects (e.g. rail, freight) is a strong plus
- Excellent communication, planning, negotiation & HSE awareness
- Able to handle pressure, prioritise tasks and lead site execution
- Full UK driving licence essential
