Benefits: Clear progression path to NVQ 3 to become a qualified Escalator Engineer. Your salary upon completion of this qualification will be circa £37,000.
REClifts has now been appointed as the preferred supplier for the recruitment of multiple Escalator Engineer Assistants. Due to the increasing demand of this market leader's services, there are multiple requirements to employ Escalator Engineer Assistants. Any successful candidate can commence new employment with immediate effect.
For the appropriate candidates, a development plan will be implemented to aid the Escalator Engineer Assistants to qualify as an Escalator Engineer with substantial practical experience fully competent with health and safety guidelines.
This role would suit someone with previous experience of being an assistant for an escalator company or passenger, platform or stairlift company. The escalator company will also consider candidates with experience working for similar engineering or construction companies and keen to move into an escalator engineering working environment.
Commutable from: Newcastle upon Tyne, Blyth, Middlesbrough Barnard Castle, Leyburn, Richmond, Brampton, Northallerton, Thirsk.

Escalator Engineering Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Qualified Escalator Engineer to provide on-site escalator Servicing & Repair duties as directed by the Escalator Service Manager and Engineering Regional Manager
Qualifications & Experience: Company support is given to maintain valid accreditation.
- CSCS Card - Desirable
- ER202 Health & Safety - Electrical regulation - Desirable
- UK Driving Licence - Essential
- Full eligibility to work in the UK - Essential
- Previous experience working on lifts or escalators as a Trainee - Desirable
