Project Engineer / Project Manager - Electrical & Renewables
Location: Hybrid - National site work (Hull region base preferred)
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical and renewable energy projects across the UK, including PV, BESS and EV charging installations.
This is a hands-on, site-focused role suited to someone who can manage projects from survey and design input through to commissioning and handover, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
You will work closely with our Technical Director and wider engineering team, with a hybrid split between site, office, and home working.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out pre-start site surveys and contributing to design development
- Managing day-to-day project and site activities
- Overseeing Health & Safety and CDM compliance
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Conducting AC/DC testing, inspection, and fault-finding to BS7671
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and to specification
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in electrical engineering or project delivery
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualified
- Experience with electrical systems and renewable technologies (PV/BESS/EV advantageous)
- Comfortable working on-site and managing multiple workstreams
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and CDM 2015
- Confident communicator with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent)
- PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification
- Telehandler licence / PATH ticket
- SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH
- Mechanical knowledge (containment, fixings)
