As Credit Control, you will possess drive, ambition and passion for your role, along with excellent communication skills, good commercial awareness and the ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
What Will Your Role Involve As Credit Control?
- Knowledge of cash allocation, solid systems skills including Excel are essential.
- Take responsibility of debtors for various depots.
- Produce monthly overdue letters.
- Handle major accounts
- Obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, Undertake sales account reconciliations and compile documentation for legal action.
- Handle disputed accounts and negotiate overdue accounts to bring payment in line with the business terms and conditions.
- Stop supply of goods or services to overdue accounts.
- Responsible for cash allocations.
- Set up and maintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records.
- Work on minimum supervision on collection of overdue accounts.
- Maintain regular customer contact by phone, letter and e-mail.
- Prepare daily banking, bank statements and bank run.
- Use initiative and imagination to achieve targeted results, while promoting customer goodwill.
- Any reasonable request made by the Manger to ensure effective operation of the Finance Department.
