REClifts is working in partnership with a specialist lift engineering contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent, standalone role. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced QS with a background in lifts, construction, or technical project environments.

The Role: Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be instrumental in managing the commercial aspects of multiple lift installation and refurbishment projects. From budgeting and cash flow forecasting to cost control and contract administration, your expertise will help ensure financial success across the project portfolio.

You'll be based in the London office at least 3 days per week, with full-time in-office attendance required during your first 3-6 months as part of a thorough onboarding and training process.

Key Responsibilities: Quantity Surveyor

  • Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment

  • Drive certification processes and cash collection, including retentions

  • Collaborate closely with Project and Site Managers throughout each project

  • Produce accurate cash flow forecasts based on project progress

  • Regularly update and submit draft final accounts

  • Maintain up-to-date cost-to-complete records and prevent margin erosion

  • Ensure accurate digital and on-site contract documentation

  • Contribute to developing commercial best practices across the business

What We're Looking For: Quantity Surveyor

  • Proven experience in a standalone Quantity Surveyor role

  • Background in lift engineering, construction, or technical contracting

  • Strong knowledge of valuations, cost control, and final accounts

  • Confident managing multiple projects independently

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and project costing software

  • Familiarity with JCT, NEC, or other standard contract forms is desirable
