Projects Engineer – Job Specification
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Projects Engineer to lead the delivery of national projects across electrical systems, controls, PV, BESS and EV technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capability, attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, tier-one solutions. This is a hybrid role with time split between our head office and sites nationwide, reporting directly to the Technical Director.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-start surveys and contribute to project design.
Manage day-to-day project and site activity.
Oversee CDM and all Health & Safety requirements.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics and reports.
Perform AC/DC system testing and troubleshooting in line with BS7671.
Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Provide clear, professional communication to clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5 years engineering experience.
Proven background working with PV, BESS and electrical systems.
Understanding of AC/DC EV charging systems is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge relating to containment and fixings.
Working knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition) and Testing & Inspection 2391 or equivalent.
Ability to interpret test results and produce NIC EIC certification.
PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
Demonstrated experience managing CDM (2015) and site safety.
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
Remuneration
£40,000–£55,000 basic salary
