The Role of Project Engineer
- Support the commissioning, installation, and modification of various control systems, control panels, and equipment.
- Support Project Managers and Project Engineers during the quotation stage.
- Adopt safe systems of work (RAMS).
- Observe the requirements of any Permit to Work
- Follow efficient work procedures and techniques.
- Assess tasks and report any issues or variations.
- Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and calibrated.
- Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and other third parties.
- Undertake specialist training as required.
- Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve 'Best Practice'.
The Right Project Engineer
- +5 years' experience in installing and commissioning electrical control systems and control panels.
- Ability to fault find and I/O check control systems of varying complexity.
- Ability to work from technical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID documentation.
- Experience with basic configuration of intelligent devices such as sensors, interlocks, drives, etc.
- Familiarity with PLC-based control systems (Including Siemens and Rockwell environments) to facilitate basic commissioning tasks.
- General understanding of the requirements of machine safety, and functional verification processes.
- Good Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- To be a team player.
- Full UK Driving Licence
