RECenergy are recruiting exclusively for a process Engineers. Our client is a leading manufacturer in grinding and dispersing technology worldwide. Join an innovative global market leader and internationally oriented family business.
Role Overview: As a Process Engineer, you will manage portions of large-scale projects valued between £40-50 million in the UK and globally. This is a remote role with up to 30% travel, occurring in blocks. You may experience several months with no travel followed by a few days or a week of travel at a time. You will be responsible for specific sub-areas within the project, collaborating closely with system engineers (Process/Junior Project Engineers) and reporting to senior project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage defined portions of the project, including scheduling and budgeting.
- Continuously manage risks, changes, and cost control to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with design standards and required documentation and certifications.
- Provide support for technical engineering work and participate in HAZOP studies.
- Assist in handling medium and large projects, with occasional responsibility as site manager at the customer's site.
- Create and track schedules and coordinate commissioning in consultation with the customer.
- Collaborate with team leaders and senior project managers to prepare installation and commissioning plans.
- Participate in project management tasks such as testing, commissioning, installation, and civils/steels.
- Support the UK and European teams in achieving growth goals, offering ample room for career progression.
Qualifications:
- Completed engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in project management within the process industry.
- Recommended background in process engineering.
- Proven experience in supporting and collaborating with a team.
- Goal-oriented and motivated to expand knowledge and experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement countermeasures.
- Flexible working methods and willingness to work weekends and during shutdowns.
- Excellent communication skills and good command of the English language.
- Proficient in MS Office.
