REClifts is now working with a National lift engineering company that is on the lookout for a proven manager in an engineering environment.

The successful National Sales Director will be Responsible for service sales executives, repair sales executives, and modernisation sales executives. This total of 8 direct reports are all seasoned and proven Sales people in the lift industry and steady employment at this lift company.

This reputable lift engineering company is actively looking for a strong leader of people. Ideally with successful recruit will also have lift leadership experience, for the right candidate there is some flexibility on other engineering industries. No personal targets but responsible for your team's performance.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, strong time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing and driving change
  • Ability to prioritise, be detailed oriented, make sound business decisions
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated business decision making skills
  • Ability to lead a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
  • Can demonstrate strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous developments and responsibilities
  • 5+ years' experience in the lift industry preferred
  • Follow up and ensure closing of sales opportunities,
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure sales success.
  • Analyse tenders and technical enquiries.
  • Complete detailed site surveys.
  • Compile quotes.
  • Technical knowledge of passenger lifts and associated equipment
  • A proven sales record achieved from new sales and repeat business.
  • An electrical or mechanical qualification and or previous experience - Desirable.
  • Full driving licence & willingness to travel is essential.
  • Proven ability achieving sales targets
  • Sales analysis and reporting to the Senior Board of Directors including P&L, forecasts & pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, develop, and manage a team of office based staff and field staff
  • Manage direct reports by providing coaching, mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to promote employee development
  • Meet or exceed all financial performance targets
  • Grow the profitability of this National sales operation to meet or exceed business objectives
  • Collaborate with entire national sales team to execute sales strategy that will increase branch profitability
  • Ensure that repair sales goals are achieved, and develop relations with existing customers
  • Manage all field activities for the most cost-effective results
  • Lead in safety and EH&S programs while creating and promoting a safety culture that is present and part of every employees everyday work routine
