REClifts is recruiting on behalf of a leading independent lift engineering company renowned for its delivery of major lift modernisation and installation projects across Kent and the South East.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lift Project Surveyor looking to play a pivotal role in the pre-construction and execution phases of modernisation and new installation projects. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all survey work, recommendations, and installations are delivered to the highest standards of technical accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of a Lift Project Surveyor:

  • Conduct detailed site surveys, taking precise measurements of lift shafts, machinery, and surrounding infrastructure
  • Carry out condition assessments and prepare technical recommendations for lift modernisations and repairs
  • Liaise with design, sales, and project teams to align survey findings with technical specifications
  • Prepare detailed scope of works and support tendering processes with accurate pricing input
  • Act as technical lead during the early stages of project development and through project delivery
  • Monitor project progress against time, budget, and quality KPIs
  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety standards, & industry legislation
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle

Ideal Candidate - Lift Project Surveyor:

  • Background as a lift engineer (modernisation or installation) with hands-on experience
  • Excellent understanding of lift systems, regulations, and modernisation best practices
  • Proven track record managing lift projects from survey to handover
  • Strong surveying and technical diagnostic skills with an eye for detail
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, and delivery)
  • Professional, organised, and client-focused
  • Full UK driving licence required
