REClifts is now looking for 1 x Lift Repair Engineer in Cardiff, South West of England. The role will aim to manage your own scheduled repair works independently.


Lift Repair Engineer must currently live a commutable distance from these areas:
Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Merthyr Tydfil, Barry, Tenby, Narberth, Bristol, Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Cheltenham, Worcester.

We seek a skilled and experienced Lift Engineer to join our client's team.


The Lift Engineer Duties:

  • Perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting of passenger lifts
  • Inspect, test, and maintain lift systems, including motors, control systems, safety devices, hydraulic systems, and electrical wiring.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific lift issues, provide detailed reports, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations & industry standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics and repairs.
  • Regular preventative maintenance should be conducted to prevent unexpected lift failures.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in lift technology and repair techniques.


Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate:

  • Currently working as a Lift Repair Engineer or have transferable skills working as a Lift Modernisation Engineer or Lift Installation Engineer.
  • You must have at least 2 years of experience working on passenger lifts
  • Hold a full, clean driving license and be willing to travel in the South West.
  • Qualified to or above NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in a lift engineering discipline.
  • Lives a commutable distance away from Cardiff .
