Lead Solar PV Electrician - £50,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance or Company Vehicle

A well-established roofing, cladding, and Solar PV company is looking for an experienced Lead Solar PV Electrician to join their growing team. Specialising in fully managed, turnkey solutions for the commercial and industrial sectors, the business works with clients nationwide to improve building efficiency, reduce energy costs, and support long-term sustainability.
This role is ideal for an electrician with a strong background in commercial Solar PV installations who is committed to delivering high standards, safe working practices, and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission commercial Solar PV systems (AC & DC)
- Read and interpret PV system designs and layout plans
- Install mounting systems, complete DC stringing and containment
- Carry out full electrical installations, testing, and reporting
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs as needed
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and internal quality standards
- Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Maintain a clean, professional, and safe working environment
Essential Requirements:
- ECS Gold Card
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- AM2
- Inspection & Testing qualification
- Level 3 in Installing & Maintaining PV Systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in commercial Solar PV installations
- Strong understanding of PV systems, electrical safety, and materials
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
Desirable:
- IPAF certification
