RECfinancial is working in an exclusive and retained partnership with a national fmcg company who have a business based in Leicestershire in their search to appoint a Financial Controller.
This exciting number two role will be based at an impressive office which is commutable distance from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby, Northamptonshire and Coventry / Warwickshire.
Reporting to the Finance Director of this 500 million plus turnover business, this Financial Controllers role will have a team of Finance Managers reporting to it and indirectly a team of 10+ employees. The role will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director, Managing Director and the SLT in the smooth running of the business.
The role will be responsible for owning the numbers for the business, group reporting, preparing and presenting the board pack, driving the Finance Manager to meet deadlines, budgeting and forecasting for the business, period reporting, capital projects and supporting improvements in process and the quality of information supplied to the business.
They are keen to hire a candidate who has the potential to move into a Finance Director role in the business in the future and who is looking for a long term role with a progressive business. It's likely that you will already be in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager type role with a mix of experience covering both management and technical accounting. It's essential to have at least 5 years post qualified experience in either the CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.
You will have the ability to foster relationships across the business and be comfortable working cross functionally, having a collaborative approach.

The role has a salary range of between £85,000 and £100,000 plus a car allowance and a bonus.
