REClifts is now looking for 1 x CAD Design Trainee. Due to our client's international growth in the lift industry, we seek an ambitious and intellectual Design Assistant to aid the design team and develop their skills. This role is office-based in the Stockport North West area, and the successful CAD Design Trainee will be expected to commute. Work from the lift engineering office until they complete the structured training on the lift products, systems and processes.
The CAD Design Trainee must be living a commutable distance from these areas:
Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Stockport, Warrington, Stoke, Crewe, Runcorn, Knutsford, and Whitchurch. Full disclosure of the office location will be discussed upon completing the REClifts application process.
The Ideal CAD Design Trainee Candidate :
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with lift technical knowledge and experience working for a competitor in the lift industry. Alternatively, the employment history of engineering or construction products or components using Solidworks or Auto CAD to generate technical 3D drawings will also be considered.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Able to demonstrate a sound technical understanding of lifting components or similar engineering components through qualifications achieved and CAD experience. Detailed portfolios will be required upon application to prove technical acumen.
The Role of the CAD Design Trainee Candidate :
- Provide technical support to the sales team to develop and successfully implement products and service solutions that meet customer's needs.
- Assist with engineering, design, and coordination of contracts from conception to completion
- Creating CAD drawings using in-house templates
- Understand the Estimation of installation and delivery times and costs.
- Dealing with incoming customer technical enquiries
- Fully supports the Sales Executive with technical issues.
- Monitor design progress and project program.
- Submit design documentation to Clients' professional design teams.
- Troubleshooting and design development with company factories and third-party suppliers. ? Communicating with suppliers/manufacturers and organising design samples for clients ? Understand and comply with all relevant company policies.
