Reporting into the Operations Director, this role would suit a Warehouse General Manager, General Manager, Site Manager, Logistics Manager or Distribution Centre Manager with experience of managing fast-paced and dynamic operations.
THE ROLE:
- Management of all warehouse functions - including Pick/Pack, Despatch, Quality Control, Inventory and Health & Safety.
- This position will be working within a temperature controlled Chilled Food site.
- Account Management of clients in a pro-active manner.
- Direct Management responsibility of a supervisory team of 8 people and indirect management of a team of up to 250.
- Management of a budget of £10 million P&L.
- Hands-on & front foot leadership will be required as this is an extremely fast-paced and demanding 24/7 Logistics operation.
- Engagement, Coaching and Mentoring of your team.
- Suggesting & Leading CI within your operation.
- This position will link in with the Transport, Commercial & Finance teams on a regular basis.
THE PERSON:
- Warehouse General Manager, General Manager, Site Manager, Logistics Manager or Distribution Centre Manager with Chilled Food Warehouse Management experience - ESSENTIAL
- 3PL Logistics experience - HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Overall management responsibility for at least 200 heads or more.
- Able to liaise with and work alongside demanding clients within a demanding sector.
- P&L experience of £5 million or more.
- Front-foot & hands-on leadership style.
- Able to liaise from shop-floor to Board level.
- Keen to leave a lasting impact and legacy on the wider business.
- Strives for operational excellence and sets your teams high standards.
- Engaging and coaching style.
- The successful person will need to be able to commute to Kettering - but also across the Midlands if required.
