RECenergy are proud to be supporting Smart Eco Solutions for their recruitment campaign to source Qualified Domestic Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installation Engineers and Electricians on their long-term contracts.

This is why from the start, their pay and bonus structure is amongst the highest in the country.

The Standard Earnings
EV Installers or Qualified Electricians with at least 12 months post qualification work experience

£36,000 Basic Starting Salary
If you are qualified but do not have EV Installation experience we offer lower starting salary for the first 6 months of employment. More details upon application.

£1,980 Compliance Audit Bonus* paid at £165 per month (paid monthly in arrears)

*Compliance Audit Bonus is paid subject to the following:

  • No Audit Failures
  • Stock Take accurately recorded and submitted on time
  • Jobs Closed Down and all photographs and paperwork correctly submitted
  • No Complaints


Annual Loyalty Bonus
You will be paid £1,000 on the anniversary of your employment start date as a thank you for your loyal service (payment will be included within your monthly salary payment).
Bonus Scheme
The above Basic Annual Salary is calculated on Installing 10 EV Charging Points per working week.
Once 10 Installations per week have been completed, all additional Installations will be paid as
per the below:
Monday to Friday: £50
Sat/Sun/BH: £100
Bonus is paid 1 month in arrears.

Standard Working Hours and Overtime
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm (45 hour working week)
It is expected that you will arrive at your first job between 8am and 9.00am and any travel between 7.30am and 8.00am will not be paid overtime.
Overtime - Paid 1 month in arrears

Additional Information

  • New or Nearly New Van (Transit Connect or similar)
  • Fuel Card, Phone and Tablet, Tools, PPE provided
  • 45 Hours working week
  • Monday to Friday working
  • 20 Days plus 8 Statutory Days Annual Leave entitlement

Applicants Requirements

Applicants for these positions will need to be fully qualified dual fuel meter installers to the following standard:

  • Good knowledge of Domestic electrical projects and installations
  • 18th Edition
  • C&G 2919 EV Charge Point Installation
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License (maximum 6 penalty points)
  • Electric Vehicle Charging Installation experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, Organisational & Planning Skills
